"Laura does her homework and gets to know her clients.  She listens to what we want and goes out of her way to make the whole experience comfortable and fun.  She has lots of great ideas for posing and props.  I am always very pleased with the photo quality and professionalism."

"We loved working with Laura and highly recommend her! We had such a wonderful time on our shoot and enjoyed having her guide us throughout the session so we felt comfortable and confident. We fully trust her creative vision and didn't hesitate when she had us climbing rocks, and getting wet! She created beautiful and stunning images that are beyond what we could have dreamed up! You won't be disappointed with having Laura behind the camera!!"

When it came to the point in the process of planning our wedding to book a photographer, we knew going in that we had high standards. We wanted someone who was talented, someone who was affordable, someone that would treat our special day as if it were their own. After looking at over a dozen different websites and portfolios we weren’t sure if it was going to be possible to find a photographer that embodied all the qualities we sought. Fortunately, it wasn’t long after that the two of us discovered Laura.

During our first consultation it became immediately evident that she was the one. While others we had met were incredibly professional and personable, Laura brought something to the table that no one else had managed. She was so warm and full of energy that it felt as if she were a life-long friend just getting the news of the engagement for the first time. After finishing the Skype call there was no doubt that this was the person for us.

Since we lived in a different timezone than that of our photographer we were unsure how to go about scheduling an engagement shoot. Laura was amazing to work with as we brainstormed ideas and dates before ultimately settling on meeting each other halfway in Yellowstone National Park. The whole day we ran around in the cold as we got comfortable in front of the lens. With positive encouragement and a contagious energy, it didn’t take long for us to start having fun and feeling truly adventurous as we posed and trekked across the gorgeous landscape. At the end of the day we couldn’t believe how fast the time had gone by and couldn’t wait to see how well all the shots turned out. Some weeks later when Laura was finished with putting her touches on them, the two of us were ecstatic knowing that this was just the warm up for the big day in a few months.

Nothing ever goes completely according to plan with a wedding and as such it can be difficult to resist becoming stressed or flustered over the details. However, none of this managed to show through the photos that were ultimately taken. Laura moved through the ceremony and the later reception with grace and enthusiasm that motivated everyone she shot to beam with joyful emotion. Every picture turned out incredible from the portraits of family, our first looks at each other down the aisle, guests enjoying themselves on the dance floor, and even to little kids just basking in the festivities. As the party went late into the night, she never hinted that she was even the slightest bit tired and stayed smiling and bubbly on her feet right until the very end.

When we set out to hire a photographer we wanted someone to capture the day in a way that was both beautiful and elegant but we managed to get so much more. Even though Laura was working she seemed to be having more fun than a good portion of the guests, proving that this is someone that truly loves to photograph weddings. Without question, we would hire her again and again knowing what her talent is capable of capturing on camera. To be completely honest, we’re considering putting her on retainer for the eventual baby pictures down the line.
